Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Togé (“the App”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use our mobile application.
1. Summary
Togé is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do not collect, store, transmit, or have access to any of your personal data or trip information. Everything you enter into Togé — trip names, expenses, member names, amounts, and settlements — is stored locally on your own device and never leaves it unless you explicitly choose to share it.
There is no account, no sign-up, and no cloud sync in Togé.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect, and have no access to:
- Your name, email address, or phone number
- Trip data, expense records, or member names you enter
- Photos, location data, or contacts
- Device identifiers used for tracking or advertising
- Usage analytics or behavioral data
Togé does not require you to create an account, log in, or provide any personal information to use the app.
3. Local Data Storage
All information you enter — trips, expenses, members, settlements, and your language preference — is stored in an encrypted local database directly on your device using industry-standard local storage (SQLite). This data:
- Is never transmitted to us or any third party
- Is not backed up to any cloud service by the App
- Is permanently deleted if you uninstall the App or clear its data
- Is only accessible to you, on your device
If you wish to preserve your data before uninstalling the App, use the in-app export/share feature to save or share a copy before removing it.
4. Currency Exchange Rates
To convert between currencies, Togé may connect to a third-party currency exchange rate service over the internet. This connection:
- Only retrieves publicly available exchange rate figures
- Does not transmit any of your personal, trip, or expense data
- Is used solely to display accurate converted amounts within the App
5. Sharing Trip Reports
Togé allows you to generate a shareable image summarizing a trip’s expenses and settlement. This image is created entirely on your device. If you choose to share it — via messaging apps, email, or any other method — that sharing action is initiated by you through your device’s native share function. We have no visibility into, or control over, what you choose to share or with whom.
6. Children’s Privacy
Togé does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your jurisdiction), because the App does not collect personal information from any user.
7. Data Security
Because your data never leaves your device, the security of your trip information depends on the security of your device itself. We recommend using your device’s built-in security features (passcode, biometric lock, encryption) to protect your data.
8. Third-Party Services
Togé does not integrate with advertising networks, analytics platforms, or social media SDKs. The only external connection made by the App is the currency exchange rate lookup described in Section 4.
9. Your Rights
Because we do not collect or store any of your data on our servers, there is no data for us to provide, correct, or delete on your behalf. All your data is already fully within your control, stored locally on your device. You may delete it at any time by clearing the App’s data or uninstalling the App.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the “Last Updated” date above. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
